A room a day keeps the stress away

Spring! Yay! So glad it's finally here. Many of you are taking on the awesome task of spring cleaning. Here's a quick tip....

I clean one room per day in my home. Unless company is coming or there has been some great disaster I don't go back to clean that room until the predetermined day. (i.e. Monday, I clean my bedroom, Tuesday, I clean the kitchen, Wednesday, Family Room and Thursday, Bathrooms,, etc.). Of course, things are already being put away after every use, right? So on Tuesday, I mop the floor, wipe down the walls, clean out the fridge, (you can make your own list). I started doing this when my son was a baby and it really helped to destress my life. Sometimes that means the pillows aren't perfectly straight on the couch until Wednesday but I don't worry about it until then. (Well most of the time).

So I'm suggesting that if you work on one room per day, this gives you additional time to work on absolutely everything in that room that day. Next Tuesday, I will be weeding through old glasses and Ringling Brothers Cups in order to clean out my cupboards. This keeps everything uncluttered and up to date.

Try it!
